IP Daily.Biz: Using Rsync and SSH

IP Daily.Biz: Using Rsync and SSH: "Using Rsync and SSH: "This document covers using cron, ssh, and rsync to backup files over a local network or the Internet. Part of my goal is to ensure no user intervention is required when the computer is restarted (for passwords, keys, or key managers).
I like to backup some logging, mail, and configuration information sometimes on hosts across the network and Internet, and here is a way I have found to do it. You'll need these packages installed:
rsync"

Seed

Seed: "At some point, in order to become a tree, the seed must 1st let go of the "idea" of being a seed. The seed therefore gives up (or lets go) of something in order to become what it was always destined to be. A seed that refuses to let go of -some of what it actually is-can never become what it was created to be, many generations ago."

Police to Protesters: Move to Migron

Police to Protesters: Move to Migron: " The article is a classic example of what’s wrong with Israeli reporting on security issues, even though it’s hard to find the security issue here. The source is clearly a cop wearing much brass on his shoulder, but the story contains no attribution whatsoever, thereby making arguments into facts. “Another two or three complaints from passers-by about thefts or from women about sexual harassment, another melee, more demands from desperate neighbors to remove the nuisance,” says Oren, and the police will act. We are given no information on how many such complaints there have been, or how many fistfights have occurred. In the original Hebrew, all of that’s in a conditional dependent clause, asserted but not proven."

Frum Find The Place To Find All Things Frum (Blog): New school on the block - The Jewish Standard

Frum Find The Place To Find All Things Frum (Blog): New school on the block - The Jewish Standard: "The Jewish Standard
New school on the block - The Jewish Standard: "Amid a turbulent economy, an increasing number of day-school parents are suffering sleepless nights wondering how to scrape up enough money to cover tuition fees of $15,000 or more per child. Some parents are even opting out of day schools altogether.

Lauren Ariev Gellman understands their predicament. As the mother of three elementary-school-aged children, she was often frustrated by the high cost of her children’s day school and the relatively mediocre education it offered.

Instead of complaining, Gellman, of Highland Park, sought a solution. Her response to the “yeshiva tuition crisis” is the Pre-Collegiate Learning Center of New Jersey for eighth through 12th-graders, which will open at the East Brunswick Jewish Center in September.

The nondenominational Jewish school will offer a full curriculum of general and Judaic studies, including many self-paced individual-learning opportunities. The annual tuition, in contrast to many area Jewish high schools that cost upward of $20,000, will be $5,000.""

Bat Torah girls high school won’t reopen in September - The Jewish Standard

Bat Torah girls high school won’t reopen in September - The Jewish Standard: "In 2008, the school moved from Suffern, N.Y., to the former Frisch School building in Paramus, renting the space from Frisch (which had moved to new quarters) and subletting some of it to Ben Porat Yosef, an elementary school. The roles were reversed when Ben Porat Yosef took over as principal tenant.

Bat Torah had planned to move to the Jewish Center of Teaneck this summer and prepare 11 classrooms there for the beginning of the school year.

But instead, said Bak, “we have until the end of the month, which is this week, to clear out of the Frisch building. I have invited a few yeshivot to ‘inherit’ whatever items they can use.” The remaining items will be sold."
